Since April 1st, 2023, Microsoft Teams is available in China Mainland operated by 21Vianet. Despite the humorous date, this information is concrete!
Microsoft Teams in China covers the main functions that you are used to in the international version such as messaging, audio and video calling, rich online meetings, mobile experiences, and extensive web conferencing capabilities.

Microsoft Teams is available via your current licenses Microsoft 365 Business or Enterprise. Kindly note that Microsoft Teams is not available as a standalone service.
ATTENTION: After contacting the 21Vianet Microsoft 365 support (on April 7, 2023), they confirmed that the Chinese version and the global version are not compatible yet; which means that you will not be able to reach a user for a chat, a call and/or a meeting if the two parties are on different platforms.
