A request that bypasses the normal approval workflow deserves independent verification. The supplier recently changed banks, please arrange payment of USD 5,240 A recent change of bank is used to justify new payment details. Any change to supplier banking information should be confirmed through a trusted, previously known channel. directly to the new bank details attached, rather than the account shown on the original quotation. The payment is being redirected away from the details in the original quotation. Changing the destination account is the core objective of this fraud.
I am in meetings all day and cannot be reached by phone. The sender makes direct confirmation impossible. This removes the safest way to verify whether the request really came from the person named in the email. Please complete this before the end of the day. The tight deadline creates pressure and discourages normal verification. Urgency is a standard social-engineering technique.
